Tenacious. Smart. Compassionate. Harvard Law School graduate, Jose Klein specializes in client-focused representation in employment law matters in Oregon and Washington. Achieving justice and fairness for his clients is his mission. Getting there requires understanding the unique needs and concerns of the individuals and small businesses who hire him. It also requires the courage to fight for what is right.
Prior to co-founding Klein Munsinger, Jose gained skills and insights as a litigator and labor negotiator at top local and national employment and labor law firms. He spent nearly a decade developing inside knowledge about how employers and employers’ attorneys approach workplace disputes. Now running his own shop, Jose applies those insights to vindicate the rights of victims of harassment, discrimination and retaliation at work. Jose represents victims of discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability and other protected classifications. He litigates wage and hour claims, violations of protected leave laws, and breach of contract cases.
After graduating from law school, Jose clerked for Justice Martha Walters on the Oregon Supreme Court. As an honors attorney at the Oregon Department of Justice he handled termination of parental rights cases. He has experience with jury and bench trials and arbitrations. In each instance, Jose brings wits, integrity and insight to the challenge.
Jose lives with his wife, Rosa and their two children in Southeast Portland.
