Damien has represented and advised employees, as well as large and small companies, private and public universities, small and large companies, and government entities on a wide range of employment issues. He has litigated race discrimination, sex discrimination, sexual orientation discrimination, disability discrimination, national origin discrimination, religious discrimination, age discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, as well as sexual harassment, hostile work environment, and retaliation claims. He frequently handles non-competition agreements, executive compensation agreements, higher education tenure disputes, and severance negotiations.

Before joining Klein Munsinger LLC, Damien worked as an attorney at an employment law firm. He’s also represented the State as an Honors Attorney at the Oregon Department of Justice, where he litigated dozens of cases in state and federal court. Damien also served as Special Assistant to Oregon’s Attorney General, where he specialized in outreach and coordination with citizens across Oregon and business leaders, elected officials, and media outlets across the country. Damien has taught at Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling in Portland and at Willamette University’s College of Law in Salem.
Damien is a member of the Advisory Board of The Commons Law Center, a nonprofit providing affordable legal services to Oregonians. Damien also serves as a trustee for The International School, the first International Baccalaureate elementary school in the Pacific Northwest.
